Collier & Henry Concrete spearheaded the development of the beam and block solutions for Part E and the Robust Detail applications. Now, following rigorous development and testing we are proud to announce that our new flooring systems have achieved Robust Detail accreditation.

Robust Detail E-FC-7

200mm deep floor beams shown for the purposes of illustration. Floor system also available in 150mm deep floor beams.

1. Screed (supplied by others)

  • 65mm (min) sand cement screed or 40mm (min) proprietary screed, nominal 80kg/m2 mass per unit area.

2. Waterproof Membrane (supplied by others)

  • 0.2mm (min) waterproof membrane.

3. Regupol Resilient Layer (supplied by others)

System installation

  • 8mm thick Regupol E48 layer must be laid dimpled side down.
  • Overlap all Regupol E48 joints (both along and across the roll) by at least 50mm and tape all joints using Regupol tape.
  • Turn up Regupol E48 at walls to ensure screed will not touch the walls and is of sufficient length to lap under wall linings and skirting.
  • Lay a waterproof membrane (min 0.2mm thick) over the entire floor.

4. Concrete Infill

  • Nominal 50mm in-situ concrete infill between floor beams to seal floor.
  • 25mm (min) concrete topping covering cut rows (150mm deep floor system)

5. Structural Floor

  • 150 or 200mm deep precast concrete floor beams.
  • 100mm deep dense aggregate concrete infill blocks (rebated blocks used in conjunction with 150mm deep beams).
  • 300kg/m2 (min) mass per unit area (inclusive of in-situ concrete infill).

6. Ceiling (supplied by others)

Floor depth requirements and ceiling treatments.

  • All E-FC-6 floors must have a minimum depth of 300mm between top of beam and ceiling board.
  • Only suspended metal frame ceiling systems may be used.
  • Min 50mm mineral fibre quilt (min 10kg/m³) in the ceiling void to cover whole ceiling board area.
  • One layer of nominal 10kg/m² gypsum-based board.
