Collier & Henry Concrete spearheaded the development of the beam and block solutions for Part E and the Robust Detail applications. Now, following rigorous development and testing we are proud to announce that our new flooring systems have achieved Robust Detail accreditation.

Insulated Suspended Ground Floors

The CHC U-Base flooring system utilises expanded polystyrene insulation panels to form the main insulant for the finished floor. They also provide the temporary formwork on which to lay the structural screed.

Expanded polystyrene (EPS) is widely used in many everyday building applications where its strength, durability, light weight and excellent thermal insulation characteristics provide cost-effective high performance solutions.

This system is cost effective compared to alternative floor solutions providing a reduced floor zone and is British Board of Agrement certified.
